Yang heads to the vet tomorrow to have a small growth removed from the back of his neck. He’ll be 15 years old in about two weeks, so I would like to just leave it alone, but he keeps scratching it open. Eventually, it’s going to get infected.
He’s a terrible rider, so the worst part about the whole day is likely to be the drive to the vet’s office, not counting the hour or so we’ll be in the house with him in the morning without being able to feed him. He’s quite crotchety, you know, even when he’s not hungry.
Oh! He is such a beautiful cat! Is he a mainecoon? Good luck with the car ride and I hope the visit goes well!
We joke that he’s a miniature Maine Coon. He’s got the markings and long fur but he’s about 8 pounds shy of the average weight. The ride went OK, except for this long, deep collarbone scratch I’m sporting. It’ll probably heal before he forgive me for taking him to the vet.
Aww, I’m sure he will forgive you soon, he will definetly be happy to be rid of that pesky bump in his neck! He really is beautiful, he has the face of a Maine Coon also, very, very handsome. Hope you scratch heals quickly, my cat got me in the wrist yesterday, right above those dangerous veins, it could have been ugly but it’s alright. Nothing stands between him and finding out what all the ruckus is outside! Nosey little boy. Have a great day, I’m glad to see you writing every day again 🙂
Thank you! He is a very pretty cat, and he’s been a model patient so far. My scratches are almost gone.
He is beautiful! I love Maine Coons, even miniature ones. I hope your salad spinner is working well this summer. The one we have here at the farm is the size of a 5-gallon bucket. I think the first farm boxes will be this coming week, with lots of greens, basil, cabbage, etc. Gonna join us this year? I hope so.
